Door to Door Pick Up

Northern Float Hire offer door-to-door delivery and pick up services.  Rates charged are $25 per hour of driving.  Meaghan Wright conducts these deliveries/pick ups – rates are incurred from her leaving Pheasant Creek/Kinglake to the destination and her return to home.

For example: Pheasant Creek – Pakenham – Pheasant Creek for a delivery is 3 hours round trip or $75 delivery fee. Should that float require pick up also, a further $75 is incurred.

The new pricing structure includes refundable cleaning bonds.  As a guide, make note of the condition the float is delivered/received to you in, this is what we expect when returned.  We aim to present our floats to clients in an ‘as new’ as possible condition.  Northern Float Hire disinfect the bay areas before each hire with Magic Tails 3-in-1 disinfectant to floors, walls and head dividers.

Clients are asked to:

  • Vacuum the couches/bunks
  • Wipe inside the fridge
  • Mop the living area floor
  • Wipe down the benchtops
  • Bay area – wipe any nasal discharge/spray from walls, remove any manure and Karcher/high pressure hose the bay floors to remove any manure lodged in the rubber flooring. It is recommended that wood shavings be placed to absorb urine/manure making your life easier for cleaning.
  • Swing out tack box – should you use the swing out tack box to store hay, please vacuum.

The refundable cleaning bond structure is as follows (for living floats):

  • $25 for living area
  • $25 for bay area
  • $25 for outside

We can appreciate that road/rain splash and/or dust occurs during your journey to drop off.

All floats except our base 2 horse straight loads “Keira and Emily” (which have hydraulic brakes) have Electric Brakes.

  • Range Rovers
  • Land Rover Discovery
  • Volkswagon Toureg, Amarok
  • Audi Q series
  • BMW

The abovementioned vehicles when purchased new from a dealership may not have their vehicle plugs wired to Australian configurations, causing flickering LED lights on the float, no indicators or brake lights and brakes to lock up.  It is critical that before hiring the float, that you check with your dealership or auto-electrician that your European car has been wired correctly for towing.  A European vehicle converter plug is available for $25 hire charge.  Please let us know at time of booking if you have a European vehicle to ensure the converter is available.

We have certainly tried to think of everything to make our client’s lives easier when hiring our floats.

Our floats are fully comprehensively insured as hire floats. $10 million Public Liability is held.
